Dante Moore back at Ducks practice, status vs. Bruins TBD - ESPN

Quarterback Dante Moore participated in Oregon's practice Monday, two weeks after he sustained a concussion against USC, coach Dan Lanning said.

«He was wearing a helmet and shoulder pads today and was out there throwing a football,» Lanning said. «It was great to see him back out there with his teammates and able to get a little work in today.»

Though Lanning did not elaborate on what Moore did during the closed practice or whether he would be available for the Ducks' game against No. 21 UCLA on Saturday, he said they would continue to do what is best for the QB's long-term health.

Lanning added that the Big Ten mandatory injury report first released Wednesday, and the lead-up to Saturday's game after that, would shed more light on whether Moore will play.

«It's one of those situations where we got to protect a player from himself,» Lanning said previously on «The Pat McAfee Show.»

During the game against USC on Sept. 26, Moore attempted to slide after scrambling up the field before he was hit late by linebacker Desman Stephens II. Moore was checked by the athletic training staff on the field before being taken by an ambulance to Los Angeles General Medical Center for evaluation.

«Fortunately, his MRI and CT scans came back clean and he did not suffer any additional injuries,» Lanning said in a statement last week.

Former Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola replaced Moore and led the Ducks past the Trojans, throwing for 289 yards and two touchdowns. If Moore can't play against the Bruins, Raiola would get his first official start for the No. 13 Ducks.
