Danny Murphy's glowing praise for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes

Match of the Day pundit Danny Murphy has issued his own glowing praise for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes following the sides 1-0 win over Wolves at St. James Park on Friday evening.

The Magpies made it four straight home victories thanks to Chris Wood's second half penalty and now sit 10 points clear of the Premier League's relegation places.

Guimaraes, who made his first start replacing Joe Willock in midfield, was especially impressive throughout the evening and now looks to be certifiably finding his feet in this ever-improving United team.

The Brazilian international of course opened his account for Eddie Howe's side during their 2-1 win over Southampton back in March and pundit Murphy believes the 24-year-old has ever more to give in the heart of the Newcastle midfield.

"He looks like he has really good creativity and I think he's going to be a bit more than holding player the way he likes to get forward, especially that's he showed in this game," he said on this weekend's edition of Match of the Day.

"He actually played a little bit higher than Jonjo Shelvey, with him and Joelinton either side and you can see that he has good technique, a good eye for a pass as we saw in the goal that was ruled out by VAR.

"The only surprise from watching him play is that he hasn't played more. He's played six times for Brazil and you don't play for Brazil unless you have something about you, but I'm really looking forward to seeing him grow in this team because he has got that little bit more about him than they have in those areas. It was a really good performance, I think the fans are going to like him."

With only seven games left until the end of the season United next face the Foxes at St. James Park with
