Dancing on Ice's Charlie Brooks sets record straight on EastEnders return in cryptic response

Actress Charlie Brooks has given a fresh update on possible return to EastEnders.

Appearing on the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast, the Dancing on Ice star opened up about her time on the show and even hinted that fans could see her return to the show in the future again.

Giving a cryptic seven-word response on whether we could ever see her famous character Janine return to the show in the future, she said: "I can never say it's definitively closed, because I really enjoyed my time at EastEnders. It always feels like a bit of a home for me."

Continuing to speak about the popular soap with fond feelings, she added: "I love the people there, I've made some really good friends over the years and and so, the beautiful thing about Janine is that you kind of always want to know what she's up to so writers can really do anything and get away with it."

Charlie has appeared on EastEnders in four separate stints, last leaving the soap in 2022 when her character when Janine was jailed for five years for perverting the course of justice.

Asked whether there is anything she'd like to take from Janine Butcher's personality, she continued: "I like to borrow sometimes from Janine. I wish I was as funny as her, she's quite quick and she doesn't give a f**** she sort of says what she thinks."

As she is set to feature alongside a whole host of celebs in the latest addition of Dancing on Ice, it isn't the first time that she has ventured into the world of reality television having finished 12th in I'm A Celebrity in 2012.
