Dallas Cowboys: QB Dak Prescott issues major health update after Eagles loss

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has hinted about when he is set to return from the injury that has kept him out since Week 2.

Dak Prescott for the past few weeks has been on the outside looking in when it comes to being the Dallas Cowboys’ starting quarterback. Having suffered an injury in Week 1 of this season, backup Cooper Rush was asked to take over the team in his absence, and he hasn’t done anything in the past few weeks to make the Cowboys miss Prescott in the huddle.

Leading them to 4 straight wins, and playing mistake-free football it has started to cause something of a controversy in Dallas about who needs to start when Prescott is healthy. On one hand the Cowboys are playing incredibly well so it wouldn’t make sense to move away from the ‘hot hand’ as it were.

At the same time, the Cowboys are paying an awful lot of money for his services, don’t really want to have such a prized asset, and someone who had taken the team to the playoffs a few times before, just sitting on the bench.

So as long as the Cowboys keep winning, then they have a bit of a conundrum on their hands. But their performance against the division rival Philadelphia Eagles last night completely changed the narrative surrounding the quarterbacks.

Having played ‘mistake-free’ football up until this point, Rush was full of mistakes as the Eagles maintained their undefeated streak to start the season 6-0 at the expense of the Cowboys.

Rush went 18-38, thew for just 181 yards, and had just one touchdown against three interceptions as the Eagles' defense barely let them get any form of momentum going until very late in the game.
