Cyberpunk Edgerunner: How to Watch, Anime, Studio Trigger and More

Cyberpunk 2077 is a title loaded with spectacular set pieces and characters, and now Netflix’s upcoming Cyberpunk Edgerunner series looks set to bring a new audience to the world of Night City.

The new series will follow a brand new cast of characters in the now-familiar and expansive Night City to players of the CDPR title. Whilst the actual game itself has had a difficult lifecycle thus far, many can agree that the actual aesthetics of the CD Projekt Red RPG are a love letter to the classic Paul Verhoeven films such as Total Recall and especially Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner.

As of writing, Netflix has not officially confirmed a release date for the upcoming anime series on their subscription platform.

We will update this page as and when the company confirms when the series will be launching as part of the on-demand service.

We’re expecting that Netflix will confirm a release date for the series during the GEEKED WEEK fan fest, as posters for the television show have already indicated that it will be released in 2022:

As noted, Cyberpunk Edgerunner is based in the same world as the Cyberpunk 2077 game; in Night City.

Netflix confirmed via a teaser trailer that the new series would be part of the GEEKED WEEK.

GEEKED WEEK is a five-day live virtual fan fest. The event will celebrate Netflix’s genre slate with exclusive news, sneak peeks, talent panels and more, including the new Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime.
