Currys' Gen Z-inspired ad leaves shoppers in stitches and begging for employee to get pay rise

Customers at Currys couldn't help but laugh after the electronics giant let a Gen-Z employee script their latest advert.

The resulting work features an older staff member discussing the store's latest deals using some unmistakable jargon. The ad, which begins outside a Currys store, sees him assuring customers they can expect a "brat summer" at the retail giant, describing their offerings as "hitting different AF".

According to Urban Dictionary, 'brat summer' translates to an "an unapologetic party or messy girl aesthetic for the summer" and is inspired by Charli XCX's latest album, Brat. GOAT stands for 'greatest of all time', whilst 'slay queen' is often used to compliment someone's appearance. The video, which has amassed over 1.9 million views in just a few days, prompted one TikTok user to call it the "best marketing ever", with others calling for a pay rise for the staff member involved.

One user remarked: "I didn't know curry's was chill like that." Another quipped: "Ok, but he actually sold that air fryer to me." A
