Cully and Donovan lead Irish hopes on Taylor undercard

Gary Cully will be the leading Irish fighter on the undercard of Katie Taylor's rematch with Chantelle Cameron this November in Dublin, but he won’t be facing Jose Felix in a bid to avenge defeat.

Cully was upset by Felix with a devastating stoppage loss last May having been expected to comfortably deal with the experienced Mexican.

In the aftermath the possibility of a second bout was raised.

However he will take on England’s Reece Mould for the WBA Continental Europe lightweight title, claiming he has a new mindset on fighting at home on this occasion.

Now training under Joe McNally in Liverpool – world champion hopeful Cully is determined to bounce back and take care of business when he challenges Mould.

"This isn’t about a celebration or a party like last time was supposed to be," said Cully.

"This is personal for me to get back to where I need to be and I’m looking to put in a big performance on 25 November."

Mould will be another significant test for Cully having suffered just one defeat in 19 fights at the hands of featherweight world champion Leigh Wood.

Paddy Donovan is back at the 3Arena as he faces English welterweight champion Danny Ball for the WBA Continental Welterweight title.

Another undefeated Irish fighter Thomas Carty will put his Celtic Heavyweight belt on the line against an opponent yet to be confirmed.

Former amateur star Emmet Brennan will have his second pro fight taking on Limerick’s Jamie Morrisey at light-heavyweight for the Celtic title
