CT City continue to bulk up squad, confirm signing of Cameroon midfielder Ambina

Cape Town City FC have announced the signing of Cameroon midfielder Brice Ambina as the DStv Premiership outfit continue to strengthen their squad.

The 20-year-old holding midfielder inked a deal until 2026 and has previously represented the central African nation at under-20 level.

"He is a highly-talented player and I think he will be a massive introduction to our team. We are happy to have him on board," said City head coach Eric Tinkler.

During the January transfer window, City lost forwards Abdul Ajagun and Fagrie Lakay to Sudanese outfit Al Hilal and Egyptian side Pyramids FC respectively, as well as Abbubaker Mobara to AmaZulu.

In addition to Ambina's arrival, City have signed Mogamat May from Hanover Park FC and Venezuelan hotshot Darwin Gonzales.

Tinkler's charges will return to domestic action on Saturday in a Nedbank Cup Round of 32 clash against Royal AM.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
