Crystal Palace pursue Onyedika amidst interest from top European clubs

English Premier League side, Crystal Palace, have joined the list of clubs interested in signing Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika this summer. Onyedika’s standout performances for Club Brugge in the Belgian Pro League have drawn attention from several top clubs, including LaLiga giants Barcelona.

Dougie Freedman, Crystal Palace’s recruitment chief, was reportedly in Belgium to watch Onyedika in action for Club Brugge, signaling the club’s interest in the 23-year-old midfielder.

Palace appears ready to make a bid to secure Onyedika’s services and fend off other potential suitors.

Onyedika’s journey with Club Brugge began in 2022 when he joined from Danish club FC Midtjylland. Since then, he has been recognized as one of Europe’s promising young talents. In the current season, he has played 42 games across all competitions, contributing four goals and two assists.

With his strong performances and growing reputation, Onyedika could be a significant addition to Crystal Palace’s squad, adding youthful energy and talent to their midfield.

The competition for his signature may be intense, with other top clubs also showing interest, but Palace’s keen observation and proactive approach suggest they are serious contenders in the pursuit of the Nigerian international.
