Crystal Palace news: 'Must be so difficult' - Key update emerges on rarely-seen Eagles ace
Crystal Palace full-back Nathan Ferguson must be finding it ‘difficult’ after suffering another injury setback which will rule him out of action for close to two months, according to The Sun journalist Tom Barclay.
Ferguson has not had any luck since his move from Championship side West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2020 and he is on the treatment table once again.
Palace are understood to be fearing Ferguson will be out of action for another six weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in a behind closed doors friendly a fortnight ago.
Ferguson penned a three-year contract worth £34,000-per-week when he made the switch to Selhurst Park.
But more than halfway through that agreement, the 21-year-old has been restricted to just eight minutes of action thanks to injuries blighting his Palace career.
That game-time came in the form of a substitute appearance at Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day and assistant manager Osian Roberts, who was in charge for the London derby due to Patrick Vieira contracting Covid-19, insisted there is ‘a lot more to come’ from Ferguson.
Ferguson went on to make two starts for the Eagles’ under-23s last month but his latest setback has resulted in him being unable to feature since.

Barclay believes Ferguson must be struggling to cope with the amount of injuries he has been forced to contend with since heading to Palace.
The journalist remains hopeful that the former England under-20s international will eventually be able to show why the Eagles were keen to secure his services more than 18 months ago.
Barclay told GIVEMESPORT: “Not only for Palace fans who’ve been waiting to see this guy play properly for such a long time, but also just mainly
