Cristiano Ronaldo sends message as Manchester United icon hits Al-Nassr milestone

Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to his first-ever AFC Champions League goal for Al-Nassr - which helped inspire the Saudi outfit to a 10th straight win in all competitions.

The iconic former Manchester United and Real Madrid player scored his 11th goal in all competitions this season as Al-Nassr defeated FC Istiklol - from Tajikistan - in their Group E match on Monday night. Talisca helped himself to a double in that important 3-1 win at Al-Awwal Park.

Ronaldo still holds the record for most Champions League appearances and goals in the European edition of the competition, but this was his first strike in the cross-Asian tournament. The 38-year-old played the entire 90 minutes and Al-Nassr sit top of their group on maximum points after two matches.

Shortly after the final whistle, Ronaldo logged on to his Instagram profile to share a short message to the Al-Nassr supporters. He wrote: "Good game from everyone on the team! Happy to have scored my 1st ACL Champions League goal! We keep winning."

His post featured blue and yellow love heart emojis. It has already attracted thousands of likes and replies from his 607million followers on the social media platform.

Ronaldo, who has scored 25 goals, and provided eight assists, in 29 games for Al-Nassr since joining them on a free transfer almost a year ago, won his first trophy for the club last term. He scored twice in their Arab Club Champions Cup showpiece win
