Cristiano Ronaldo's HT clash with Juan Cuadrado during Juventus vs Porto

Cristiano Ronaldo is a footballer who is synonymous with the UEFA Champions League.

Throughout the course of his incredible professional career, the 37-year-old superstar has made club football’s biggest competition his own personal playground.

Ronaldo has won the Champions League fives times and that doesn’t even tell half the story of his magnificence on the European stage.

No player has scored more goals (141) or contributed more assists (42) in the competition’s rich history.

Ronaldo just loves the Champions League and the fact he was unable to lift ol’ Big Ears in a Juventus shirt will still hurt him to this very day.

He joined the Italian outfit from Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 for a €100 million fee and his main goal was to finally bring the trophy to Turin after so many near misses previously.

But Champions League glory never came during Ronaldo’s spell at Juventus and they actually failed to even make it to the semi-final stage in his three seasons wearing black and white.

In the 2020/21 campaign, the Bianconeri were eliminated at the Round of 16 by FC Porto in what was an epic two-legged tie.

Porto won the first leg 2-1 on home soil and then progressed to the quarter-finals on away goals after losing 3-2 in Turin.

And at half-time in the second leg – when Juventus were 1-0 behind and 3-1 down on aggregate – Ronaldo made his frustration with the performance clear for all his teammates to see.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had a dressing room altercation with Juan Cuadrado, which was shown on the team’s All or Nothing documentary on Amazon Prime.
