Cristiano Ronaldo: Footage after Juve's CL loss in 2021 re-emerges amid Man Utd exit request

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United is very much in doubt.

The Portuguese superstar re-joined The Red Devils last summer in a £19m move from Juventus.

But he was unable to prevent United having a dismal season.

United didn’t come close to winning silverware as they were dumped out early in the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

United also missed out on qualifying for the 2022/23 edition of the Champions League as they finished sixth in the Premier League.

Ronaldo had a good season despite United’s struggles. He hit the back of the net 24 times in 38 games. United would have been much worse off without him.

Now 37, Ronaldo has proven he can still score goals at the highest level.

And, with United no longer in the Champions League, it has been reported by The Times that Ronaldo has requested a transfer this summer.

Ronaldo has a strong desire to play in Europe’s premier cup compeition and thus wants a move away.

Footage has re-emerged showing Ronaldo’s passion for the competition following the news.

In 2021, Ronaldo was unable to prevent Juventus from being knocked out of the Champions League by Porto.

His reaction in the dressing room after the game was shown on Amazon’s ‘All of Nothing’ documentary, which gave fans a behind the scenes look on Juventus’ 2020/21 season.

Ronaldo looked dejected as he walked into the dressing room. He sat down, put his hands on his head and cried. He had to be consoled by a Juve staff member.

This is how much the UCL means to him. It's understandable if he leaves.
