Cristiano Ronaldo flooded with support after sharing "beautiful" photo with baby girl

Manchester United footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has been flooded with messages of support from across the world after sharing a touching photo with his baby daughter. Ronaldo posted the new image with the message: "Forever Love".

Ronaldo had been expecting twins, a boy and girl, with his partner Georgina Rodriguez but the couple announced the tragic news that they had lost their son earlier this month. But Georgina and their daughter were recently able to return home with the rest of his family.

The football star shared an image on his social media accounts of himself smiling as he cradled his baby daughter in his arms with the simple message "Forever Love". The black and white picture shows a topless Ronaldo sitting on a sofa with his adorable baby girl.

The post was also captioned with a heart and a prayer emoji. Fans were swift to send messages of love and support in their thousands on Twitter and Instagram on Saturday afternoon.

United team-mates including Marcus Rashford sent red heart emojis in support. While others posted messages hailing the photo "adorable" and "the loveliest moment".

The couple's baby was able to return home with her family a week ago, with Ronaldo releasing a picture of her with all their family. In posting that picture, Ronaldo also gave his thanks to the fans who had sent messages of support.

He wrote: "Home sweet home. Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us.

"We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures. Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family.

"Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed
