Cristiano Ronaldo demands referee is changed before clash with Jordan Henderson
Former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo was left furious with the referee in Al-Nassr's 1-0 win over Al-Ettifaq in the King Cup of Champions quarter-finals.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner even signalled for the referee Piero Maza to be substituted after his teammate Talisca's goal was disallowed due to Ronaldo being offside. The drama didn't end there as the official had to make another decision involving Talisca.
The Brazilian was initially given a yellow card for elbowing an opponent, but after a VAR review, it was changed to a red card and he was sent off. The referee believed that Talisca had intentionally used his left arm to hurt his opponent. Ronaldo also got a yellow card for arguing with the referee in the 38th minute. He could have easily been shown another, but somehow managed to remain on the pitch after another outburst aimed at the man in the middle.

The match was heated, with Al-Ettifaq also having a player sent off when Ali Hazazi's late tackle sparked a big fight. Sadio Mane scored the crucial goal, with the former Liverpool man bagging the winner for Al-Nassr in the second period of extra time.
After the full-time whistle, old United vs Liverpool rivalries came back as Ronaldo squared up to Jordan Henderson. The two were seen shouting and waving their arms at each other, though the former Anfield captain soon tried to calm things down.
Henderson, who is managed by fellow Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard at Al Ettifaq, actually walked off the pitch and down the tunnel alongside Ronaldo. The ex-United attacker was still quite upset about something, but not angry enough to stay
