'Crazy', 'Ridiculous' - Joshua Barrie wowed by one Rangers ace vs Union Saint-Gilloise

The Rangers Review journalist Joshua Barrie was left wowed by the goal scored by Malik Tillman as Glasgow Rangers won 3-0 at Ibrox on Tuesday night.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team managed to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg to knock out Union Saint-Gilloise 3-2 on aggregate and book themselves a place in the UEFA Champions League play-off round.

Tillman added to goals from James Tavernier and Antonio Colak, in what was another special European night at Ibrox.

Taking to Twitter, Barrie was left wowed by Tillman’s header for the goal, calling it a ‘ridiculous’ leap, in what capped off a ‘crazy’ second half where the Gers managed to score twice to turn the tie around:

“Ridiculous leap from Malik Tillman there, everyone was anticipating the keeper to claim the ball but he got up so high. A crazy second half!”

Tillman was praised for his performance in the 2-0 win at home to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership last weekend, and the Bayern Munich loanee was impressive again against Union Saint-Gilloise.

Former Light Blues defender Richard Foster hailed his quality and even predicted him to get a goal at half-time (BBC), which he did with his towering header at the back post.

Nonetheless, Tillman is looking to be a great acquisition by the Teddy Bears, and he and Van Bronckhorst will be hoping that he can continue this fine run of form for the next round of fixtures.
