Craig Breen will start the third day of Rally Sweden in first place following an excellent day's racing the ice-covered tracks of Scandinavia.
Seventh in the standings after Thursday's opening sprint stage, Breen and co-driver James Fulton proved fastest in three of Friday's seven outings to move to the top of the classification going into day three on Saturday.
Seven more stages will take place on Saturday before concluding with a trio of runs on the final day, Sunday.
The Irish duo take a 2.6-second lead into day three, with Estonian pair Ott Tanak and Martin Jarveoja in second place maintaining the pressure by securing the fastest time in the last stage on Friday.
The 2023 Rally Sweden is taking place in the city of Umeå, located 600 kilometres north of the capital Stockholm.
