Cowboys returner KaVontae Turpin injured on opening kickoff - ESPN
GREEN BAY, Wis. — If the Dallas Cowboys are leave to Lambeau Field with a win, it will be without their Pro Bowl returner KaVontae Turpin.
On the opening kickoff, Turpin sustained a rib injury at his 25-yard return after he was tackled awkwardly. Turpin was examined on the sideline before heading to the locker room.
Running back Tyler Goodson replaced Turpin as the kick returner.
Turpin entered Sunday averaging 27.5 yards per kick return with a long of 48 yards and 11.1 yards on punts. Turpin has been named to the Pro Bowl three times — 2022, 2024 and 2025 — after joining the Cowboys from the USFL. He has had one kickoff return for a touchdown and one punt return for a score.
Offensively, Turpin has caught four passes for 39 yards and had two runs for 10 yards.
