Course records for David Ravetto and Andrew Johnston at Czech Masters

France's David Ravetto and England's Andrew Johnston both carded new course records of 63 at the D+D Real Czech Masters in Prague on Friday, with the former leading the field on 13 under.

Ravetto registered seven birdies – plus an eagle at the par-five 16th – to establish a one-shot lead over Johnston, Sweden's Jesper Svensson and Scotland's Richie Ramsay. Johnston's round featured 10 birdies and a solitary.

Back in joint-fifth, Brandon Robinson Thompson followed up his first-round 65 with a 68, while Norway's Epsen Kofstad has recorded the same scores but in reverse order.

Overnight leader Pieter Moolman is now five shots off the pace after a level-par 72 proved well short of his first-round heroics.

Irish interest in the tournament ended as Tom McKibbin and Gary Hurley both paid for slow starts.

McKibbin added a 68 to Thursday's 73 to finish on three under as he missed the cut by one shot, while Hurley was four shots further back after rounds of 74 and 71.

"I feel really good," Ravetto said of his second round. "I've been playing really good the last few weeks practising and today was just a perfect round. The putts fell in and I couldn't ask for more.

"My main focus this week is to enjoy it so obviously leading the tournament after two days, I'm enjoying it right now and I feel comfortable. I'm just going to try to enjoy myself and we'll see where it goes."
