QPR are keen on a loan move for Tottenham striker Troy Parrott, according to Football.London.

The 20-year-old impressed at MK Dons last season and there are now multiple Championship clubs interested in him.

Football.London has reported that Spurs are willing to let him leave on loan and the R’s are keen on signing him.

But would he be a good signing? And do they need him?

No longer able to call upon the services of Andre Gray and Charlie Austin, QPR will need to bolster their attacking options this summer and thus a move for Parrott would make sense.

The forward produced a host of eye-catching displays for MK Dons last season as he helped the club reach the play-offs in League One.

As well as scoring nine goals for the club in the third-tier, Parrott also chipped in with six assists as he averaged a WhoScored match rating of 6.80.

Having made considerable strides in terms of his development since he last featured in the Championship, the forward could go on to deliver the goods on a consistent basis at this level for QPR if they seal a deal for him.

Simmey Hannifin-Donaldson

This has the potential to be a good signing for QPR, but I wouldn’t say it was a sure thing.

Parrott spent the 2021/22 campaign out on loan at MK Dons in League One and although at times he shone, his form dipped in other moments.

Inconsistency is perhaps something to expect at his age, and this stage of his career, but there is no doubting that he has big potential.
