Costco slashes price of giant Toblerone that weighs more than your average newborn baby
We all know how much chocolate bars have shrunk in size, but at Costco there's one particular bar that's bucking the trend. The retailer is selling a whopping 4.5kg bar of Toblerone this festive season and it's slashed the price in half for Black Friday.
The bar, which comes in its iconic triangular-shaped cardboard box, was on sale for £59.99, or £71.98 including VAT. To give you some idea of the scale of this thing, its weight, which works out as 9.9lbs, is heavier than your average 7.6lb newborn baby.

Shoppers have been sharing the find on social media, where posts about the reduced item have attracted hundreds of comments.
"Now that's an impressive chocolate," said one. "The thing would be out of date before I'd finish it and I like chocolate." Another said: "I'm on my way to Costco, hoping there's still some left."
The offer is running until this Saturday, November 30, so you'll need to be quick off the mark to get hold of one. And it's not the only chocolate find that's been impressing shoppers there.
We reported last week how it's selling a giant tin of Quality Street for almost half the price of Amazon.
The tin of Nestle family favourites, weighing in at almost 2kg and containing more than 200 chocolates, comes in at £17.98 including VAT, which works out at around 90p per 100g. The only other place we could find the whopping tins was on Amazon, where 1.9kg tins are £31.95 and 2kg tins £38.99.
