Corrie icons Becky and Roy reunite as fans sent into frenzy and make plea over brilliant new snap
Two Corrie legends were reunited as Katherine Kelly sparked nostagia with a photo of herself with David Neilson. Katherine, who played bolshy ex-con Becky McDonald from 2006 to 2012, enjoyed a catch-up with her former Coronation Street co-star David, who has played Roy Cropper since 1995.
Katherine, 43, sent fans into a frenzy as she shared a smiley photo of the pair together on her Instagram. "Well look who I caught up with today…" she typed. "Still one of my favourite human beings EVER. #davidneilson #mightyactor #roysrolls @coronationstreet @itv."
In the ITV soap wayward Becky Granger was taken under the wing of cafe owner Roy and his wife Hayley, played by Julie Hesmondhalgh, and given a job at Roy's Rolls. For her popular role as mouthy Becky, who went on to marry Steve McDonald while feuding with love rival Tracy Barlow, Katherine won multiple awards including a National Television Award for Best Serial Drama Performance in 2012.

Since leaving Coronation Street, when Becky waved farewell to the famous cobbles and headed to Barbados with new man Danny Stratton, she has played Lady Mae in the drama series Mr Selfridge, Leah Dale in ITV drama Cheat, Sally Wright in Innocent and DI Karen Renton in the second series of Liar.
