Coronation Street spoilers as icon 'returns' and Sarah faces tragic loss

There's another busy week ahead in Coronation Street as an icon 'returns', Sarah Barlow faces a tragic loss and the Rovers Return could be on last orders as Jenny Connor risks losing her beloved pub.

Starting with Sarah and the week kicks off with a gender reveal after Adam Barlow was left believing his wife's unborn child was his due to fake paternity test results. But with more missed calls from Damon, Sarah’s on edge and she’s also freaked by Adam’s cagey behaviour.

However, her uncle Stephen Reid tells her not to worry and lets slip that Adam is just planning a surprise gender reveal. As the Barlows and Platts gather in the bistro for the party, Sarah feigns surprise. In front of her guests, Sarah opens the balloon box to find out the gender of her baby. What will it be?

Later, Sarah calls on Adam insisting they need to talk, desperate to save her marriage. But as Adam rails at Sarah for all the lies, she’s suddenly hit with stomach pain.

Seeing Sarah getting into a taxi to take herself to the hospital, Maria Windass tells Adam. Horrified, as he thought she was faking her pain, Adam rushes after her. Meanwhile, in the hospital a terrified Sarah awaits news.

Elsewhere, Jenny confides in Owen Longford that the Rovers is struggling financially. When Owen suggests she should sell up, Jenny’s annoyed and makes it clear that’s not an option.

But overhearing her predicament, Stephen suggests that rather than increasing prices, she should reduce portion sizes. However, there's suddenly a loud bang from the kitchen and the lights go out.
