Coronation Street 'set for grooming twist' with death 'sealed' as star's exit confirmed

Coronation Street fans reckon a resident could be set for a shock grooming storyline, following the news of their soap exit.

This week, actress Luana Santos, who plays Sabrina, confirmed she was leaving the soap - a year after making her debut. Sabrina rocked up to the cobbles as the girlfriend of Max Turner (Paddy Bever).

The pair met while he was carrying out community service work for having been part of a far-right extremist group, which she didn't realise at the time. And she played a part in several big storylines - including the shock disappearance of Lauren Bolton (played by Cait Fitton).

However, on Tuesday (August 20) Luana confirmed she has left the soap and has filmed her final scenes.

Now, following the news of her upcoming departure, fans have ‘worked out’ how she will leave - and it’s not looking good for the youngster.

As fans will recall, earlier this year Sabrina came face to face with sicko solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill) - who was behind the disappearance of Lauren.

Groomer and abuser Joel ended up piling Sabrina with booze in the park - only for her pal Betsy (Sydney Martin) to catch them, with Betsy blackmailing Joel since.

But seeing as Sabrina is set to leave the cobbles, fans fear she could end up becoming a victim of grooming, or could even get killed off.

Reacting to a post about Luana’s exit, one person on a Coronation Street Facebook fan page said: “I'm wondering if Sabrina is going to be groomed and disappear and that will be her exit story.”

A second also penned: “I feel like she could get killed off.” A third chimed in and penned: “ Remember how Joel tried to chat her up, who knows what he could do next.”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and
