Coronation Street's Jack Webster star flooded with praise as he shares personal news and says 'sorry'

Coronation Street star Kyran Bowes has been flooded with praise as he apologsied for his absence amid an important period in his young life. The actor, who plays Jack Webster in the ITV soap, had taken a break to focus on his studies.

But last week, Kyran, who hasn't been seen on-screen for months, confirmed he was returning to the cobbles after receiving his GCSE results. Taking to Twitter, the soap star posted a picture of him appearing to walk into his living room before being doused in confetti by his family.

"Hy all. Sorry for the absence," he started the caption of the post before explaining: "I took some time away to concentrate on my studies." It was then he shared some good news with his online following.

He added: "Happy to say I’m back and even happier to say I passed my GCSES. Hard work and perseverance really does pay off. Now it’s time to celebrate." After admitting it was a 'stressful time', Kyran was quickly flooded with praise and congratulatory messages.
