Coronation Street's Gemma Winter breaks down before facing horror with Bertie Osbourne

Gemma Brown will be encouraged to seek help as she shares her struggles with Rita Tanner. Coronation Street spoilers reveal that when new husband Chesney explains they can’t afford for him to attend summer club with his mates, Joseph’s left gutted.

As a result and in a bid to fix the cash-strapped couple's continuing woes, Gemma says she'll ask Jenny Connor for more shifts at the Rovers. Later, As Chesney heads off to work, Gemma's stressed out with five kids to look after.

She'll then be seen breaking down to Rita, admitting that she’s utterly exhausted, struggling to deal with her brother Paul’s illness after discovering on her wedding day that he has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, and feels like she did when she had postnatal depression.

Rita urges her to talk to Dr Gaddas. But continuing to press on, Daniel Osbourne and Michael Bailey will be seen dropping their kids Bertie and Glory at No.5 for the day. As they leave, an exhausted Gemma surveys the room full of kids, wondering how she’s going to cope.

Having heard about the antidepressants from Chesney, Bernie offers to help for an hour while Gemma goes to the café. But when Beth Sutherland tears a strip off Gemma for slacking, she rushes home, fighting back tears.

Overwhelmed and exhausted, Gemma briefly closes her eyes and when she does, Bertie empties her bag and finds the pack of antidepressants. As Daniel and Daisy arrive they’re unimpressed to find Gemma asleep on the sofa. But they are soon all horrified as they realise that Bertie has eaten the tablets.

Actress Dolly-Rose Campbell, who plays Gemma, recently opened up about working with the soap's
