Coronation Street fans fume over shake-up as schedule changes continue for next two weeks - when ITV soap is on

Some Coronation Street fans have declared they are 'fed up' as they prepare for more changes to when it comes to getting their fix from Weatherfield. Regular viewers of the ITV soap are usually prepared for three trips to the cobbles a week on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

But earlier this month, didn't air in its usual Friday night slot, instead moving to a Thursday. And this is set to happen again this week - and next. While the first time Corrie was forced to change its usual air date and time due to rugby coverage, this week it's due to ITV1 will airing the football match between England and Scotland in the UEFA Women’s Nations League from 7.30pm on Friday.

However, fans need not fear as you won't be short-changed when it comes to getting their fair share of the Corrie action. That's because there’s going to be an extra visit to Weatherfield on Tuesday, September 19.

But it didn't appear everyone was thrilled. Responding to an update from the Corrie team on social media, @63pitstop complained: "Why can't sport be out in bbc2 or channel 4 or 5? I bet there's more people watch soaps than sport! Sick of it taking over!"

@heatherc1509 asked: "What is going on? Why can't sport be on ITV4?" @eddie.connor.313 fumed: "Why can't we have a sport channel that's free and leave our soaps alone. Sick and tired of having to adjust because of boring sport." But @jeff.davies.12177 added: "Thank you ITV for showing the rugby …..come on Corrie fans it’s only every four years….."

Meanwhile, things are set to change again next week, spoilers have revealed.
