Cork dismantle Tipp to advance to All-Ireland series
Cork remain in the 2022 hurling championship after a comprehensive win over struggling Tipperary to seal third spot in the Munster hurling championship.
In the round-robin finale, the Rebels knew a victory of any description would do and despite an early set-back where they trailed 1-03 to 0-00, Kieran Kingston's side stormed back into the contest to lead by eight at the break.
The home side struggled for large parts of the game and substitute Tim O'Mahony's goal completely killed the game as a contest as Cork ran out 12-point winners and advance to an All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final against either Kerry or Antrim.
