'Copy and paste' - Arsenal's Man City prediction which will worry Manchester United

Former Arsenal and Manchester City defender Gael Clichy believes that the Gunners are the only team that can do what Pep Guardiola's Blues have done in English football.

Guardiola has been without equal at City since he became their manager in 2016. The Spaniard has won a host of trophies, including the Premier League five times, the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Mikel Arteta is yet to win the Premier League with Arsenal, but Clichy thinks the Spaniard can have the same kind of success Guardiola has had. Speaking to Super 6, Clichy said: "I think if there is one club that can match what City have been doing over the last decade, it's Arsenal.

"The way they have built the team, the process they have started a few years ago with Mikel Arteta coming in; I think it's beautiful to see. It's great to watch them because they are a team that should be at the top.

"They need to win the title to show all the good work they've done, and everyone knows this, but it's cool to see a new, young team full of energy trying to win against a team that's been strong for a long time.

"I often say that watching Arteta and Arsenal is like seeing a 'copy and paste' from what we get with Pep and Man City. It's not a bad thing. For me, being compared to a coach like Pep is a big deal.

"Arteta helped Pep understand English football; what it's like playing away from home, what to expect from each team and so on. He was also the coach who was closest to the players and probably had conversations with the players that the manager didn't have.
