Conor Murray, Peter O'Mahony and Cian Healy set to retire from Ireland action

Conor Murray, Peter O'Mahony and Cian Healy will all end their international careers after the conclusion of the Guinness Six Nations next month.

The IRFU has confirmed that all three will retire from Test rugby following the final game against Italy on Saturday 15 March.

Healy and O'Mahony are also retiring from playing with their provinces at the end of the 2024/25 season this summer, with Murray set to depart Munster for a new opportunity abroad.

The trio have won a remarkable 371 caps combined for Ireland, with Healy currently the most-capped player in Irish rugby history, making 136 appearances in green.

Murray and O'Mahony also rank high in the list of all-time appearances in green, with Murray playing 123 times, and O'Mahony winning 112 caps.

All three have won five Six Nations titles each in their illustrious careers, two of which were Grand Slams, while O'Mahony captained Ireland to the title in 2024.

"Since joining the Ireland coaching team back in 2014 it has been a privilege to work with Peter, Cian and Conor," interim head coach Simon Easterby said.

"They have each played a huge role in the success of Irish Rugby over the course of their careers and they continue to inspire their teammates around them. Watching how openly they engage with players in their own position and continue to add value around the set-up is testament to their collective character and they are also adding real value on the pitch.

"Knowing each of the guys, they will be focused on achieving even more success this season and we are determined as a group to end their careers with Ireland on a high over these last two rounds."
