Conor McGregor vs Jake Paul: UFC star offers hope about fight

Whilst in attendance at last Friday’s Bellator 275 in Dublin, UFC star Conor McGregor was on hand to speak to The Mirror in an exclusive, where he revealed in short what could lay ahead.

When asked when he would be coming back, the Irishman replied: “Soon. It’s getting there,” whilst also revealing he doesn’t have an opponent in mind, saying: “See what happens. See what shakes out.”

The former double champion last took to the Octagon in July 2021, where he went toe-to-toe with American Dustin Poirier at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

Poirier came out on top for the second time between the two fighters, thanks to a doctor’s stoppage in round one after McGregor broke his leg.

Notorious is currently rehabbing the leg injury, and is planning to return to sparring in April, which could open the possibility to a bout this summer.

In The Mirror exclusive, Mystic Mac was also asked whether he could fight Jake Paul, in which he replied: “Who knows? Never say never.”
