Conor McGregor slams 'pigeon brain' Jorge Masvidal over recent claims about steroids

Conor McGregor has sparked rumours on the potential opponent for his UFC return after getting embroiled in a war of words with Jorge Masvidal on social media.

‘Gamebred’ accused the Irishman of taking steroids, going on a rant about him and saying: “He is false. He knows that I am a man who hits hard and that I come to kill. I do not come to hug in the cage,” Masvidal said.

“I am going to give everything inside me to kill him. I have a little size, although now he’s shooting up and putting steroids and all kinds of things (in his body), but he is still a little boy.

“I would love to fight at 170 pounds, but I don’t wait for anyone. If he wants to do it, I’ll break his face. If he doesn’t want to do it, let someone come next.”

He certainly got under the skin of McGregor who hit back at ‘Gamebred’, tweeting the following before deleting it: “An absolute pigeon brain this guy is. Stupid beyond belief.”

The war of words between the duo didn’t stop there, with Masvidal then retorting: “This pea brain is the biggest fight of your life. So you’re either too scared or too stupid to get this [pay cheque].”

Any potential fight between the pair could be well down the line for now, with McGregor still recovering from the leg break he suffered last July.

Masvidal is also currently tied up in a legal dispute over the fallout of his loss to Colby Covington earlier this year.

So both fighters have major obstacles to overcome before any fight can be prepared, but they clearly don’t like each other, making the prospect even more mouth-watering.

The troubled Miami born fighter is currently dealing with criminal charges after he allegedly hit his former teammate outside of a restaurant in his hometown.

McGregor is set to undergo a CT scan
