Conor McGregor predicted Jose Aldo finish before UFC 194

It could be said that Conor McGregor is one of the most influential UFC fighters in history.

There’s no overdoing it as far as he’s concerned. The Irishman is a former featherweight champion and lightweight champion, even holding the two titles together. 

In spells away from the Octagon, McGregor has launched his own brand of whisky and even stepped in the boxing world to battle potentially the greatest boxer of all time Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather.

Although the Irishman ended up on the losing side of the bout, the encounter with Mayweather was groundbreaking for both sports in an epic crossover.

This has aided him incredibly when it comes to getting inside the head of his opponents. Nothing comes to mind more than his battle with Jose Aldo on December 12, 2015.

This was perhaps the catalyst for one of the greatest careers the UFC has seen.

This fight was where he claimed the featherweight championship in a stunning 13 seconds. It sent shockwaves through the MMA universe at the time, but footage has emerged since which really puts into perspective the plan laid out by the Notorious McGregor and how it was seemingly executed to perfection.

On March 12, a tweet from McGregor was posted quoting some statistics which seem to align the growing financial success of the UFC with the rise of McGregor. This prompted a Twitter user (@Verybrah) to share a video showing the genius behind the Aldo fight which might have acted as the catapult for Conor’s success.
