Conor McGregor accused of ignoring the UFC's phone calls over a fight with Jorge Masvidal

Conor McGregor has been accused by Jorge Masvidal of ducking a fight by ignoring the UFC‘s phone calls.

The American MMA superstar would love nothing more than to settle his score with the Irishman.

The two have long been linked to a potential blockbuster bout after months of back-and-forth on social media.

But Masvidal’s manager Malki Kawa has previously claimed that the Notorious rejected offers to fight his client after UFC president Dana White completely dismissed their chances of fighting each other inside the Octagon.

And Masvidal, 37, reckons it is because his rival is making too many ‘stupid’ demands.

During an appearance on The MMA Hour, he said: “That guy doesn’t answer the UFC’s phone calls when my name gets dropped in his mail box.

“I don’t want to drop executives in the UFC’s names, but if you ask certain members of the UFC’s staff, they’ll be like, ‘Conor’s not fighting any more, under no circumstance.’

“When they offer him the contract, he says stupid f****** things that can’t happen. He wants me to go down to 155lbs. For starters, I’m not going to go down for 155 for this c*********.

“You’ve fought at 170lbs – why am I going to go down to 155? I haven’t been in that weight class for over five, six years. I can’t physically make it any more.

“So he wants to put things that are just not real, and he wants to talk s***. And yeah, I’ll entertain his s***-talking from time to time when I get bored, but we both know he’s not fighting anybody. Dana White called it a long-ass time ago: I’m too much man for him, too much size, as Dana says, and it stuck with him.
