Conor Coady fires warning to Arsenal following celebrations against Wolves

Conor Coady has admitted that he "didn't like" seeing Arsenal's celebrations following Wolverhampton Wanderers' slender defeat to the north London outfit on Thursday - but warned that they will be looking to put things right when they meet again in 12 days.

The Gunners scored the game's only goal in the 25th minute when Gabriel capitalised on some sloppy defending from the Wolves defence on a corner at Molineux.

Bruno Lage's men could not find a way back into the game, even though the visitors were forced to play with ten men for the final 20 minutes plus stoppages after Gabriel Martinelli received two bookings in one go for a bizarre sequence of events.

Arsenal celebrated wildly at the final whistle after holding on to a precious three points in the race for a top four place in the Premier League, which prompted a response from Ruben Neves that ruffled a few feathers in the opponent's fan base.

"We saw the way they celebrated the win and that shows the level we are,” he said after the game. “I didn't see Arsenal celebrating like this in the past 10 years - it was like they won the league."

Wolves captain Coady followed up on those comments ahead of Sunday's game against Tottenham, revealing that the celebrations irked him and his teammates but admitted that they may have done the same thing had the result gone the other way.

"We seen them, we heard them, we obviously seen the whole thing. I know Ruben has spoken about it," Coady told the BBC Football Daily podcast.

"They celebrated quite hard, didn't they? It probably shows how big the game was to them. It was big to us as well. Listen, we spoke about it all week. We prepared well, we made sure we were ready.
