“It was an incredibly easy decision for me to extend my contract here,” Wynne told the club website. “I’m Hull born and this is my boyhood club having come through the academy system, so I’m looking forward to seeing how my career develops over the next few years.

“I’m really enjoying my rugby now and think I’ve progressed well this year – my aim now is to nail down a spot in the team every week and kick on even more. The hard work doesn’t stop now just because I’ve signed a contract – I want to keep building myself as a player here and hopefully sign a few more contracts in the years to come!

“Brett has shown some real faith in me and I think that’s really helped me develop my game, but I’m working hard both on and off the field with plenty of things to put myself in the best possible position to fulfil my potential
