Connolly set to depart Venezia for Hull City loan
Republic of Ireland international Aaron Connolly is set to join English Championship side Hull City on loan.
Connolly is currently on loan at Serie B side Venezia from parent club Brighton and Hove Albion.
He spent part of last season on loan at Middlesbrough scoring two goals in 19 matches.
The move to Italy has not worked out, playing just five games, and the Italian side recently indicated they would cut short his spell at the club.
Hull vice chairman Tan Kesler: "He is on loan at Venezia and we are trying to complete some of the paperwork with them
"It has more or less been agreed with the player and Brighton."
Connolly returned to the green jersey with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s last year having fallen out of favour with the senior side.
His contract with Brighton runs until the summer of 2024.
