Fresh from his gold medal last night, James Wilby has just qualified in second place in his heat for the men's 50m breaststroke final.

Adam Peaty will be up next. He may have missed out on a medal last night but surely he can't miss-out in this, his favoured distance...

Louis Ridout, Nick Brett and James Chestney have completed a splendid 15-5 victory over Wales and advance to the final of the men's tripples competition.

The gold medal match against Australia is due to get underway at around midday.

A good win in the end. The crowd count down the seconds to the foghorn being sounded and the Welsh players look relieved to have closed it out. Welsh captain Beth Bingham, who claimed her 100th cap today, made it 4-0 in the closing stages of the fourth quarter. A tough match but Wales get the three points thanks to the three goals they scored in seven minutes. They needed that to have any chance at qualifying for the knockout stages.

Scotland are up against Kenya on the astro next.

The women's 200m backstroke heats kick-off the action in the pool. Holly McGill, the youngest athlete representing Team Scotland in these Games having just turned 17, is first up for the home nations. She comes in third behind Kylie Masse of Canada and Minna Atherton of Australia with a time of 2.13.0, that should be enough to qualify for the final - it's a quick time. But we'll have to wait and see.

Millie Holme and Isobel Webb fire home against Ghana. Wales are now 3-0 up in the closing stages of the final quarter. Barring any late drama they're on course to win their first match of the games.
