Collective bowling effort sees SA right EL wrongs by bowling out Windies for 260
At JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom
The Proteas righted their bowling wrongs from East London with a disciplined and diligent display to bowl the West Indies out for 260 in the third ODI in Potchefstroom on Tuesday.
The big, but very observant and expectant holiday crowd was treated to a brilliant fielding display led by Lungi Ngidi, who took three superb catches.
It made up for an unexpected despondency in his bowling, where he couldn't quite get his line and lengths right after stand-in captain Aiden Markram won the toss and chose to field first.
Markram was pressed into leadership service after regular captain Temba Bavuma was cotton-wooled as a precautionary measure after experiencing hamstring discomfort during his red-letter 144 at Buffalo Park on Saturday.
Markram was one of four changes to the Proteas team as Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, and Wayne Parnell came in for Tristan Stubbs, Quinton de Kock, and Tabraiz Shamsi respectively.

While King was able to see out part of a one-run, 13-ball spell that saw Parnell bowl a maiden over, Mayers (14) was highly strung and when he pulled a Marco Jansen delivery that wasn't quite there for the shot, Ngidi took an excellent running catch at mid-wicket to end the 39-run opening stand.
