Colby Covington reveals plans for WWE run after UFC career

UFC welterweight Colby Covington has revealed that he’d ‘love’ to have a run with WWE after his MMA career comes to an end.

At this moment in time, there are few mixed martial artists on the planet as talked about as Colby Covington. The man known as ‘Chaos’ has spent the last few years building a persona for himself as a Donald Trump-loving, trash-talking American hero and for the most part, it’s worked quite well as a marketing technique.

Along the way he’s flirted with the pro wrestling side of things quite a bit, from popping up in Impact Wrestling to using Kurt Angle’s WWE theme as his walkout song.

“I’d love to cross over and come into the WWE,” Covington said. “But I love being a UFC fighter. I love fighting; it’s my passion and what I was born and put on this earth to do. After my career with the UFC is done, WWE is something I’d love to dabble in.”

“Ronda Rousey has really impressed me [in WWE]. Her promo game has come on strong. She’s just a true entertainer. She knows how to put on a show for a crowd.

After defeating his former American Top Team friend and training partner, Covington has his sights set on yet another member of the ATT family – Dustin Poirier.

He called ‘The Diamond’ out during his post-fight interview and if he gets his way, we could see
