Cody Rhodes WWE return: Former star could return on Raw tonight

Tonight could be the night that Cody Rhodes finally makes his sensational return to WWE.

If Cody Rhodes is to return to WWE, as many people now expect to happen, it’ll likely be on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

Cody left AEW last month, and it was immediately reported that he was in talks with WWE for a sensational return.

However, since then, there have been a lot of conflicting reports regarding his future, but we now have some more information.

Reports from various sources have indicated that if Rhodes is to return to WWE, which isn’t clear either way right now, it could be on WWE Raw tonight.

With just three more episodes of Raw before WrestleMania, time is ticking for WWE to have Rhodes appear before the big show on April 2/April 3.

Reports state that if he does show up, it’ll be on Raw tonight, given that the show is in Jacksonville, the spiritual home of Rhodes’ former employers, AEW.

Should he make his comeback tonight, Rhodes will be preparing for a match at WrestleMania with Seth Rollins, which WWE has been planning for some time now.

On the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that a Rhodes v Rollins match was still WWE’s plan, as of Friday, meaning the company must believe that Cody will be returning before then.

On Friday, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins was still listed as a match for WrestleMania… The fact the match is still listed tells me that they (WWE) believe he’s in. Whether he’s signed or not I cannot say, but obviously they believe he’s in, they believe the match is still on.”

Of course, nothing is certain in WWE, and we likely won’t know whether or not Cody is returning to WWE until he actually appears on WWE Raw.
