Cody Rhodes has signed WWE contract as debut plans are revealed

In the update we’ve all been waiting for, a new report has claimed that Cody Rhodes has signed a contract with WWE.

For the last few weeks, wrestling media has been left pretty much in the dark about the status of Cody Rhodes.

After Cody left AEW last month, reports immediately circulated suggesting that he was in talks with WWE over a sensational return to the company.

However, with now just two weeks until WrestleMania, and Rhodes having not returned to WWE yet, many fans speculated that the deal could be off.

However, PWInsider has become the first site to break that they’ve heard that Rhodes has officially signed with WWE.

The site even notes that Rhodes signed his WWE contract between 10 days and two weeks ago.

Cody Rhodes has signed with WWE, multiple WWE sources have confirmed.  Rhodes inked his deal about 10-14 days ago.

Interestingly, the report also notes that Rhodes is slated to return o WWE over WrestleMania week, potentially even at the big show itself on April 2 or April 3.

The current plan is to have Rhodes debut Wrestlemania weekend with the early word among those in the company being that Rhodes will be on the Raw brand.

The report plans for Rhodes within WWE upon his return will see the former Intercontinental Champion wrestle Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38.

Of course, there’s always a chance this changes between now and WrestleMania, but many have speculated that Rhodes will be a surprise opponent for Rollins at the show.

And now, considering the report that Rhodes will be debuting for WWE over WrestleMania weekend, that speculation may have some basis.

However, a lot can change in the world of WWE, so it’s possible that the company has Rhodes debut over the next week or so, to try and build some buzz
