Clyde are "suffering", admits Danny Lennon after SEVEN straight league defeats

Danny Lennon admits his Clyde side are "suffering" after a run of SEVEN straight league defeats but is convinced they will come good soon.

The Bully Wee fell to a 2-1 defeat away to Kelty Hearts on Saturday and could see their pointless streak stretch to eight games tomorrow night, with Lennon's men hosting league leaders Dunfermline.

Two goals in the space of five minutes from Jamie Barjonas and Alfredo Agyeman early in the second half earned Kelty the points, with Jordan Allan's goal in 63 minutes proving to be just a consolation for Clyde.

Their woeful form leaves them second bottom of League One and five points adrift of eighth place Kelty.

While Lennon admits times are tough, he says he sees enough from his side to convince him things can turn around.

He said: "We are suffering at this moment in time but we are still in there competing and that is the most important thing.

"What we do have here, as much as we are on a poor run of results at this moment in time, is a group of guys who are totally committed to the cause.

"You can see that in the game. They are competing and right in the game, well up to the final whistle.

"The thing we've got to do is man up quickly and stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

"All runs in football must come to an end sometime and if we keep competing the way we are, and if we can quickly address the situation of not helping teams with soft goals, we will give ourselves an opportunity."

Clyde's last league win came against Kelty at New Douglas Park in August, when they claimed a 3-0 victory.
