Clarke seizes lead at Senior Open Championship
Darren Clarke seized the early second-round clubhouse lead at the Senior Open Championship by adding a three-under-par 68 to his opening 65 at Gleneagles, leaving him eight-under-par overall.
Tucked in not too far behind Dungannon's Clarke, is his countryman Pádraig Harrington who also opened with a 65. The Dubliner is among the afternoon starters.
Another Dubliner, Paul McGinley, carded back-to-back rounds of 71 to sit one two-over-par which is the current projected cut mark.
Sean Fitzgerald will miss the cut after rounds of 76, 75.
