Clare find second wind to edge Rossies in thriller
Clare are through to only their second All-Ireland SFC quarter-final after a last-gasp Jamie Malone point saw them edge out Roscommon by the bare minimum in Saturday's Round 2 qualifier at Croke Park.
Trailing by four points with five minutes left of normal time, an Eoin Cleary point and then a penalty converted by Keelan Sexton left the bare minimum between them. Sexton then levelled from a placed ball before and again found the range after Diarmuid Murtagh had put the Rossies back in front. In the fourth minute of injury time, Malone's long-range effort dropped over and Clare were back in front.
They held out to reach the last eight for the first time since 2016.
