Cian Lynch not included in Limerick All-Ireland final panel

Limerick's Cian Lynch appears to have lost his race to be fit for Sunday's All-Ireland senior hurling final.

Lynch was not included in the Limerick starting line-up for Sunday's final against Kilkenny, nor was he named on the bench.

The 2021 Hurler of the Year has struggled with injury this season and was sidelined for 10 weeks with a hamstring injury.

He returned as a substitute in the semi-final against Galway, coming off the bench to play his part in Limerick's victory.

However Lynch is understood to have suffered an twisted ankle in training last week and that injury looks to have ruled him out of Sunday's showpiece final.

Lynch's place on the bench is taken by Barry Murphy, who himself has struggled with injury this campaign and should he feature for Limerick on Sunday it will be his first appearance since last year's All-Ireland final.

Elsewhere Limerick manager John Kiely names the same starting XV that took to the field at Croke Park in the semi-final against Galway.
