Chuck Lefley, who won two Stanley Cup titles as a centre with the Montreal Canadiens in the early 1970s, has died at 76.

The Canadiens said in a release Saturday that Lefley died Monday in Grosse Isle, Man. A cause of death was not provided.

Lefley, who was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Grosse Isle, was selected by Montreal sixth overall at the 1970 NHL draft.

He helped the Canadiens win the Stanley Cup in 1971 and 1973.
