Chuba Akpom excellent but Darragh Lenihan is unconvincing again - Middlesbrough player ratings

One good save early in the second half, nothing he could do with either goal.

Was really positive bringing the ball out of defence and linked well with McNair and Jones throughout. He was slow to react to the throw in that led to the Blades' second goal, however.

Partly culpable for both goals. First he gave Berge too much space and the second his sliced clearance conceded the throw before he allowed Ndiaye to spin off him. Some sloppy balls out of defence and was rash to needlessly jump into some tackles and aerial duels. Assist for the second equaliser.

Excellent first half but had to be withdrawn at the interval. Was really solid at the back and cleared everything that came his way.

Real livewire down the right. One or two poor deliveries, but provided an assist and was back to his positive self dribbling down the right. One or two nervy defensive moments though.

Played the anchor role really well, moving the ball around and protecting the back three to help Boro control large portions.

Whole-hearted display. Excellent pass to Jones unlocked the defence for the first equaliser and he helped Boro control possession in midfield. Into defence later on, he provided some solid tackles.

Improved on his first two performances, but still unable to influence play enough.

A horror own goal gave the visitors the lead for the second time, and while he wasn't as much the outlet as normal, he still delivered some excellent crosses, including for the second equaliser and Watmore's late chance to win it.

Boro's man of the match. As well as two goals - the second of which was an excellent header, his all round play, dropping deep and linking play was excellent once again. Masterstroke to bring him back into the fold.

Really bright
