Chris Sutton has Rangers reminder for Ally McCoist as Celtic hero can't keep 'SEVEN' wind-up under wraps

If enduring Wednesday's 7-1 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool wasn't painful enough for Ally McCoist. Things were to get worse for the former Rangers striker as Chris Sutton laid out another blow by taunting him over the result.

The Battle of Britain clash was an opportunity for the Light Blues to lay down a marker in the Champions League but instead they were put to the sword by the English Premier League giants who produced a scintillating second half showing. Rangers had gone into the break level at 1-1 but goals from Roberto Firmino, Darwin Nunez, Harvey Elliott and a quick-fire hat-trick from Mo Salah left the Scottish Premiership side in ruins.

And speaking on BT Sport's Scottish Football Extra, presenter Darrell Currie asked McCoist about Wednesday's Ibrox defeat. "Ally onto Wednesday, let's see if you've got anything left in the voice. Rangers Liverpool it started well, it ended in agony," said Currie. At this point Sutton proceeds to hold up a sign with the number seven on it, while shouting 'SEVEN! - of course the number of goals Liverpool put past Gio van Bronckhorst's men in the rout.

McCoist then hilariously tries to bite back however the 60-year-old's voice has gone and he struggles to get his words out. He then apologises for his voice as he took another opportunity to slam what he called a capitulation against Jurgen Klopp's side.

He replies: "Apologies again for the voice. It was a capitulation."
