Chorley vs Bolton Wanderers LIVE: Build-up, team news, match updates & reaction

Bolton Wanderers will play the second game of their pre-season schedule this afternoon when they make the short trip to take on Chorley.

Wanderers began their preparations earlier this week in some style with a big win over Longridge Town. Ian Evatt's side won 9-0 against the North West Counties Football League Premier Division side.

Evatt named two different sides for each half against the Ridge to give players minutes in their legs after returning from a pre-season training camp in Portugal. It paid dividends with seven different scorers and Dion Charles bagging a hat trick.

And the League One outfit will be aiming to build on that positive start this afternoon in the 2pm kick-off. The two sides took on one another in pre-season last year with Wanderers winning 1-0 thanks to Adam Senior's header.

It's going to be a tough one. You saw how good they were last season when we played them in pre-season. They're a very good side, they move the ball really well, they've really found their feet now in League One and they would be one of the favourites to get promoted I would have thought.
